The Full-time MBA Class of 2021 business school experience was full of unexpected twists and turns. This class was prepared to navigate complexities and manage ambiguity brought on by the pandemic, using the lifelong career competencies, tools, and perspectives it gained in the program.

The Career Management Model goes beyond the transaction of getting a job to encompass four essential skills of lifelong career management: Strategy, Market Research, Product Development, and Operations. The model provides a framework for achieving an immediate goal, as well as understanding how to revisit the essential themes and activities of career management for life. It is a central feature of how our team in the W. P. Carey Career Services Center enables graduates to pivot, adapt, and navigate throughout their careers.
